2026 Odds Review #11: 12/04
Since our last update Romania have been the biggest mover in the odds now sat 7th in the outright. 'Choke Me' was something relatively talked up by me on release as having potential and a wide range but I won't defend the current prices, particularly the odds on for top 10 which seem to be taking an exceptional staging for granted.
Denmark and France have continued to dovetail behind Finland who remain solidly in first, Monroe getting the upperhand on Soren after last night. Australia have also climbed above Greece over the last few weeks with Akylas rounding off the top 5 in the betting. Besides Malta who have suffered a fall most of the chasers are relatively unmoved with some minor zigzaging between themselves.
I don't believe there's anything hugely significant to report from the Eurovision In Concert footage, at least not for the outright, No favourite fumbling vocally or the likes with a few of the first live performances coming from countries lower in the odds and the common fan top 10 is shaping up as differing from the odds in having Cyprus in (and very firmly in) with Bulgaria featuring often, mainly at the expense of Israel (slightly) and Ukraine (who's entry remains really lacking in love on the whole). Apart from Ukraine, there is a high level of crossover.
Some of the preview shows have also begun with the only real eyebrows raised at Greece taking a lead above Finland over in Estonia however that sort of thing can almost entirely be dismissed as noise until we get more of the like and of course Eurojury.
The next update here will come quicker than the 3 week break I've just given myself, how quick will depend on if anything of note happens…
