2026 Odds Review #3: 25/01

Just the one new entry this past week but plenty of other developments to report on so let’s begin. Luxembourg is the source of our new entry with ‘Mother Nature’ a surprise winner there with neither of the favourites even making it into the superfinal at the Luxembourg Song Contest. Once there, it was the only choice really. Luxembourg had been seeing some cautious support in the run up to this, even being matched in the teens but the drift has begun in earnest now. Denmark’s Eurovision hopes suffered a double blow this week, first in some scaled down aggression from The US reducing the likelihood of a Ukraine 2.0 scenario, and then in having to reveal their entries which are of the usual calibre. The conversation around both these countries has switched to qualification chances.

Switzerland announced their artist in Veronica Fusaro, once again internally selected from a large pool. There’s not been much attention on the Swiss at all this year, less because of their recent form but more the lack of much news and another title tilt probably seeming “too soon”. Prices of 60+ are available.

In other news, Norway have seen a big drift following the release of their names and snippets. Alexander Rybak is in there with his song ‘Rise’ which is out in full whilst other returning names were dumped in a radio only wildcard round for the last spot. Lithuania and Bulgaria began their selections start on saturday too and will land on their artist next week.

Finland finished their song releases with Pete and Linda now priced as a strong favourite in the early odds. They’ve drifted a point or so out on the exchange but remain second favourites behind Israel who have decided on Noam Bettan with a yet to be chosen or wrote even song.

The big mover in the odds has been Greece who are up to third with Akylas building some strong early hype and putting a bit more distance between himself and the others in the Sing for Greece odds. Sweden will be hoping to try and re-take a spot in the top 3 of the odds when Melodifestivalen begins in the next week. Blind preview on that out tomorrow.

Nothing too exciting is scheduled in the next week beyond that but apparently we’re due a Czech name and song in January so that might be something to look out for, otherwise it’s a very grindy week, a fitting end to the longest month of the year.
