Serbia 2026: Lavina with ‘Kraj Mene’

After a couple of Balkan Ballads, alt Serbia are back in the shape of Lavina:

I’ll be really quick with this one as I don't have a huge amount to say. ‘Kraj Mene’ is really solid and professional at what this is and won PZA '26 very very comfortably - a decent indicator for either/both of enough mainstream appeal and call to vote. Ultimately though, at Eurovision this feels more like it fills the role of musical diversity well without ever threatening to become too competitive.

there’s a few outliers here and there, Konstrakta on the high end and Princ last year on the low end with Serbia’s worst ever result by a margin but on the whole the Nation has been remarkably consistent in qualifying and not really making a dent in the final which is what I expect (before doing the maths) to happen again.

Serbia are drawn very well in semi one and are probably a third of the way or more to qualifying from Croatia and Montenegro alone. In the anonymous second half of that semi this stands out for the right reason and I expect pretty consistent moderate Televote scores to go their way. Maybe out of the jury top 10 but that isn't a given either here and overall this looks pretty safe and perhaps a 1.3 shot. Likely to struggle in the final and down to near base points.

Personal Rating: 10/20

Televote Potential: 12/20

Jury Potential: 7/20

Staging Potential: 13/20

Track Record: 10/20

Early Prediction: Semi One 7th-9th, 18th-23rd in the final.

Volatility Factor: 1/5 - One of the entries which I think has the narrowest range and not a huge amount of markets this is relevant in.
